RentVault is a privacy-first tool that helps you organise and document rental information. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data.

You remain in control of your data at all times and can delete individual rentals or your entire account directly from the application.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our service:

  • Email address (for account authentication)
  • Rental information you provide (names, dates, locations)
  • Documents and photos you upload
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)

Data Retention

We store your documents and rental information for 12 months from the date of purchase. This period is designed to cover most rentals and deposit disputes while respecting data-minimisation principles.

You may delete your data at any time.

If your rental lasts longer, you may choose to extend secure storage for an additional 12 months for a one-time fee of €9.

If no extension is selected, data will be deleted after the retention period, with advance notice.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the RentVault service
  • Send deadline reminders and notifications
  • Generate PDF reports and documentation
  • Process payments
  • Improve our service

Data Security

Your documents are stored securely and are only accessible to you. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Download your files and reports
  • Delete individual rentals
  • Delete your entire account
  • Request a copy of your data

Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
